Here at A.S. Tees, we specialize in helping you design the perfect product. We have the capability to reverse engineer just about any style. A sample product will need to be sent to our production department for reveiw. If the product is something we can manufacture, we will then be able to develop patterns and help in fabric selection and develop specific specs to meet your needs.

If a sample product is not available, we are able to develop patterns according to specs you provide. Lastly, if you do not have specs, we will be glad to help you turn your ideas into a product. Please give us a call at 800-717-7751.

CUSTOM ORDERS

What is a custom order exactly?

A custom order is changing anything about a product differently from how you see it listed in our catalog or here on our website. There are four things you might want to change: the size, the color, the fabric, or the style. If you change one thing or several, it is a custom order and that means additional charges and minimum orders, so knowing when to choose a custom style can be very helpful.
Is a custom order right for me?

CUSTOM STYLES OR INVENTORY STYLES

There are two different categories of custom orders: Inventory Styles or Custom Styles. Inventory Styles means starting with a style we offer in our line and then changing something about it like the size, color or fabric. Custom Styles indicates that you want us to help design a style you don't see in our line or duplicate a style you have seen before.

CUSTOM STYLES

"I want a style that is not listed in the A.S. Tees catalog"
We can reverse engineer most styles from a garment or spec sheet, but not all styles can be duplicated. The cost is $100.00 for the first pattern size and the first sample that will be provided with that size. Additional size patterns cost $35.00 per size and the cost of developing the actual sample is an additional $30.00 per garment.
Requirements: the parameters vary based on the garment style and construction details, call to discuss any applicable minimums. Turnaround time: approximately 4-5 weeks from approval. Please read section on Color Matching and Sampling for more information.

INVENTORY STYLES

Size Changes
"I want one of your current styles, in one of the A.S.Tees listed colors, but I want it in a size you list for other colors or shirts in the catalog or on the website"
Example: Style 3000 in plum in Large.
Requirements: order 144 units of each size of that style in that particular color. Turnaround time: approximately 2 to 3 weeks
"I want one of your current styles, in one of the A.S.Tees listed colors, but I want a size that is not listed in the catalog or on the website"
Example: Style 3000 in plum in Women’s sizing. Also read the section on sampling for further details. Requirements: order 144 units of each size of that style in that particular color. An additional pattern development cost of approximately $100.00 does apply which is refundable for an order of 1200 units. Turnaround time: approximately 3-4 weeks.

Color Changes
"I want one of your current styles, but I want a color you don’t have listed in the catalog or on the website"
Example: Style 3000 in Gold in Large or One Size Medium.
Requirements: order 1200 units in that color total. You can use that fabric on different styles to get your total units,but each style still has a 144 unit minimum. Turnaround time: approximately 3-4 weeks.

Fabric Changes
"I want a shirt in a fabric that is not an A.S.Tees fabric"
First provide a sample of the fabric you want duplicated. Then A.S.Tees will analyze the sample and confirm if we can reverse engineer the style or not.
Requirements: order 3000-5000 units depending on the set-up for the fabric. Turnaround time: approximately 4-5 weeks.

COLOR MATCHING AND SAMPLING

Two important issues for developing custom styles are matching custom colors and getting sample garments. To get a custom color matched, simply provide us with a sample of the color from a piece of cloth, a magazine or a pantone chip. It should be at least 1" in size. Next, we will work up a Lab Dip for you to approve which can take as much as 7 days. Though you may want a sample in that custom color, the process is relatively expensive costing as much as $500.00. The reason for this is the cost of the roll of fabric. To get enough fabric to manufacture a sample, an entire roll will need to be purchased. The standard approach instead is to make the sample in an available color or white and provide the lap dip for approval. Getting the exact color can take as long as two weeks.

If you need a sample of one of our standard styles in in a color or size that is not available in the catalog - we can make that sample for 2.5 times the standard cost of the garment. We can normally make the samples in 10 working days.
